On 8th April 2025, the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Hon. Samuel Nartey George, conducted a high-level working visit to Intelligent Card Production Systems (ICPS), the manufacturing arm of Margins ID Group. The visit, part of a strategic tour of Ghana’s key industrial hubs, focused on the world-class security protocols and manufacturing excellence that define the facility.
The Minister and his delegation were received by the CEO of Margins ID Group, Moses Baiden Jnr, alongside the Deputy CEO, Kwesi Baiden, and the Chief Information Security Officer, Yakubu Abdullai, together with other members of the company’s executive and management teams.
During the tour, Hon. Sam George experienced firsthand the meticulous production environment and stringent security measures inherent in the facility’s operations. He noted that the technical discipline observed at ICPS serves as a vital benchmark for the Ministry’s upcoming SIM card re-registration exercise. He highlighted that the precision and rigorous standards maintained by the company provide the necessary confidence to execute a secure, streamlined registration process for Ghanaian citizens.
Following the inspection, Hon. Sam George expressed the Ministry’s intent to collaborate with the company, citing its security expertise as a cornerstone for the integrity of national digital initiatives.
Responding to the delegation, Moses Baiden Jnr affirmed the group’s readiness to support the government. He confirmed that ICPS stands prepared to lend its institutional expertise to ensure the initiative’s success, reinforcing the importance of public-private partnerships in securing Ghana’s digital future.
The visit underscores a growing alignment between national policy and local industrial capacity. By integrating the high-security standards of ICPS into the national digital framework, the Ministry ensures that large-scale rollouts are built upon a foundation of technical resilience. This partnership marks a definitive shift towards a “security-first” strategy, leveraging sophisticated local industry to protect and advance Ghana’s digital sovereignty.
